Ellie Mayhew

My name is Ellie Mayhew, and I am a freelance hair, makeup and prosthetics artist. I have recently graduated from London college of fashion studying BA(hons) hair, makeup and prosthetics for performance .

Over the past 3 years I have gained extensive training in all aspects of hair, wigs, makeup and prosthetics. Whilst having to do some at home due to the pandemic, regardless, I have learned so much and this training has been crucial in preparing me for industry. 

Since being at university I have discovered that my strengths lay in styling wigs and applying makeup in both realistic and experimental ways. Telling a story through my work is very important but I have loved having the creative freedom whilst being at university. I can not wait to pursue this further in the industry, whether it be in the editorial, theatrical or film industry.
